Meet the OG , Milly

I grew up surrounded by the sounds, stories, and colors of Black culture, and it seeped into me from the very start. Art became my way of speaking when words weren’t enough—painting, performing, writing, moving through life with creativity as my compass. I noticed early on that spaces celebrating Black expression often felt limited or fragmented, and that stirred something in me. I wanted to create more than just events; I wanted to build experiences that felt alive, authentic, and unapologetically ours. That desire became Event—a space where music, poetry, movement, and energy converge. Each night I curate is a celebration of brilliance, vulnerability, and connection. Through Event, I honor the culture that shaped me while giving others a stage to shine. It’s more than a passion; it’s a living testament to the power of Black art, community, and voice.

I’m a creative first, but that’s just the beginning. I model, I perform on the pole, I lose myself in music and dance, and I love exploring everything that sparks curiosity. I thrive on trying new things, breaking boundaries, and embracing the unexpected. My art and energy are all me—unfiltered, unapologetic, and always evolving. Don’t label me; just watch me create, move, and live.

I’ve learned that growth doesn’t happen overnight, and every challenge is just another step in the journey. Adversity doesn’t break me—it sharpens my focus, fuels my creativity, and reminds me why I started. I show up fully for my art, my performances, and my community, trusting that the work I put in now sets the stage for what’s next. Every setback is a lesson, every risk a chance to evolve, and I keep moving forward with intention and resilience.
